Open Enrollment

Enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year begins February 13! Join us on this day for an open house from 2-4! We hope to see you there.

We Provide Space For Fun

We operate our tiny school at our home on over an acre of land, where children are encouraged to explore and learn through play with nature. We have gardens, chickens, bees, trees to climb and room to run!

Kiddos enjoy a variety of special activities including storytelling, music classes, yoga classes, Spanish classes, and art classes.

We offer a Mon-Fri half day mixed age school with parent support groups and educational parenting workshops!

Montessori schools are normally very different from the schools most of us attended when we were young. Some rave about it, while others think that you must be crazy to put your child in a Montessori school. They begin with a deep respect for children as unique individuals. They have a deep concern for their social and emotional development and bring multi-age level children together to learn.

Our mission is to provide families with a safe and engaging place to play and learn together. Kiddos will be excited to play here, and parents will have the satisfaction of knowing that their children are having fun in meaningful ways. We also strive to offer parents the latest and most developmentally appropriate parenting information so that they become facilitators of growth!

It is the philosophy of The Tree House Community School that children are encouraged to learn and grow by engaging in developmentally appropriate and meaningful experiences. Our priority is to provide a safe and nurturing space where all children can succeed. We believe that each child is a unique individual and that all children can learn, and that they learn best when parents are involved.

Are we a good fit?

Here's what a few parents have to say...

"It feels like you're dropping your kid off with family."

- Eric Strittmatter [Son has attended for 1 year]

"My daughter was loved, cherished, nurtured & tenderly guided with skill, creativity, integrity & compassion. With their support, she grew from a shy, introverted & emotionally insecure one year-old to a confident, self-expressed, socially secure five year old!"

- Natalia Okelberry [Daughter Attended for 4 years]

"Tanya and Damon are extraordinary in the way they care for children. Just as wonderful, the outdoor space is incredibly beautiful and nurturing: trees to climb, an actual tree house, a hen house, huge gardens, a big, beautiful sand pit, and vast space to run around."

- Elizabeth Dankoski [Daughter has attended for 1 year]

"The Tree House Community School might be the best place on earth for kids. Just one visit and you'll want to be a part of this community for life."

- Alison Hughes [Son has attended for 1 year]

The Tree House - Community School

We recognize that parents are the child’s first teachers. Children learn best when parents are involved in their educational program. The primary bridge between home and school is the bond between family and community.
